My name is Ryan and I Love Beer. I love a lot of other things too, but the focus of this blog is my adventures with BEER. I take pride in tasting quality beer, so much so that I started to brew my own. This blog will help me document my experiences with different beer, brewpubs, breweries, beer festivals, homebrewing, and any other beer related items.
So a little background on how I fell in love with quality craft beer:
I was born and raised on the Jersey Shore where the only beer that I knew of prior to college was Bud, Coors, and Miller (BCM). I attended a small college in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont called Lyndon State College. Practically every other town had a microbrewery or brewpub. My freshmen year I was naive, we would drive into Canada and buy Budweiser (since the drinking age was only 18). Later that same year, somebody in a dorm room handed me a Sam Adams Boston Lager. I never had it before, I was underage, oh and it was a free beer! I'll never forget that first sip. It was bold and at the time I thought a little bitter. Little did I know, that one drink would change the way I saw beer for my entire life.
